Paul Bruce was born to the late Overseer R.E. Bruce and Co-Pastor A. Bruce in April 1968 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, UK.
Paul Bruce has a rich gospel heritage. His Father, Overseer R.E. Bruce, was a gospel pioneer during the late 50s and early 60s through to the 70’s founding several churches all at that time within COGIC UK. These included Aylesbury, Dunstable, Watford, and Chiswick. He also helped co-found the Luton branch of COGIC with four other men and two women in 1959. The other members of that group was Pastor Tomlinson, Evangelist Nugent, Elder Campbell, Mother Smith and Mother Simpson. Overseer Bruce later went on to “dig a further well” in Banbury, Oxfordshire and assisted with other church plants. God certainly had put an apostolic anointing on Rev R.E. Bruce.

Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your father. We pray that you find perfect peace in the arms of Jesus. Bruce your father has left a great legacy in you, a faithful man of God, evidence that he led a successful life. Here's a poem Jess wrote for you.
LOSING A DAD
CAN MAKE YOU WEEP,
TEARS ON YOUR PILLOW
HARD TO SLEEP.
BUT MEMORIES OVERCOME
THE SADENED NIGHTS,
AS THE JOY OF THE LORD
PUTS UP A FIGHT,
THAT KEEPS YOUR MIND
ON THE HEAVENLY CLAIM
THAT YOUR SAD LOSS
IS HEAVEN'S GAIN.
WEEP NO MORE
BE PATIENT PLEASE WAIT
FOR THE DAY YOU MEET AGAIN
AT HEAVENS GATES

Love from Grace
Don't think of him as gone away
His journey has just begun
God saw he was getting tiredand
in pain and a cure was not to be
So he wrapped him in his arms
and wispered come to me
A golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Paul, my dear friend Avery and all your family at this time. I have fond memories of your dear Dad, Pastor Bruce especially when he pastored the church in Aylesbury. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
Dear Pastor Bruce & Family
The sorrow of the faithful
is not that of permanent loss,
but the tender sense of sadness
that comes in saying good-bye for now
to someone we love.
May today's sorrow give way
to the peace and
comfort of God's love.
My prayer is with you.
Dear Pastor Bruce,
On behalf of my family I would like to express our deepest sympathy to you and all yours for your sad loss. We trust that the hope of a reunion in glory would comfort you at this time.
THE SWARAY'S
Sincere condolences to Pastor Paul Bruce and family at the passing of Overseer H E Bruce,
from colleagues in Faiths Together in Lambeth.
Hi Pastor Bruce & Minister Yvonne
My condolences goes out to you and your family. Pastor Bruce although I didnot know your father.....looking at you he has left behind a vessel that will continues what he has started.
I read a book about 5 years ago written by Theresa Cerullo and I can remembered she was giving a tesimony about a woman has a son that has been a missionary for many years. Labouring on the forieign field until his health broke broke. Not long he returned home, he died.
“Why, God? ” the mother asked. Why so many mean, rebellious people in the world, why did it have to be my son, who served You so faithfully, who died?
The Lord spoke these words to her heart: “When people here have worked long and hard for an earthly boss, when payday comes, they want to be paid.
After their work is over, they wouldn’t like to be put off and have to wait before they collected what was due them
Your son’s work was over. He has come Home to receive his pay check. Would you have had him have to wait? ” then the mother was comforted.
I believe this is what the Lord has laid on my heart for you and your family, that your father has completed the work which was assign to him, so he is gone home to recieve is payment.
Though it is natural to question seemingly adverse circumstances, the more intimately we walk with the Lord the more we know that His judgements are righteous and “…all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28)
God bless you

Overseer Bruce
there remains a rest for the people of God
COGIC Pastors are our heritage
loved the upright teaching
loved the conventions
loved the old time songs about going to heaven
'when we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be'
'Love ones in Glory are waiting for me,just inside the beautiful gates'
in that sweet by and by
this world is not my home
that will be the last move for we
He'll understand and say well done
God is well pleased with Overseer Bruce
may He continue to comfort the family
I do not believe this to be an easy time as you process this season, but may the little that i have to offer be of some embracement to you.
Elder and Missionary Beckford would like to also send there condolences over from Jamaica. As God is our designer from beginning to end, we acknowledge the remembrance of Overseer Bruce and his great work as a pioneer making a path for many others today.
To Pastor Paul Bruce and family; our prayers go out to you and with love continue to help embrace your time of process. May we all continue to celebrate with you in spirit and truth.

Oversea Bruce was great, he will be great;y missed xxx
Overseer Bruce was a great man and a great Granddad to me. I remember when Granddad use to tell us his funny jokes, and would laugh before we could start laughing ourselves. Also Granddad would tell us are story's from when he was working in the church ministry. Granddad always use to pray about everything and he knew the bible from start to beginning it was amazing, one day I wish I can learn the bible like him. One thing I will never forget about Granddad is that he always used to sing, All good gifts around us come from heaven above ohh thank the lord ohh thank the lord for all he has done.
R.I.P Granddad
Dear Pastor Bruce,
How you resemble your Father! No doubt the legacy continues!
I wish to conveyto you and your entire family my heartfelt condolences, this cannot be an easy time but rest assured your father is in peace in the arms of the Lord.
I pray the Comforter will lift up your mum and encourage her during this moment of grief; "weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning."
This is a celebration of your father's lifetime achievements and the fact he accomplished his assignment, that which he was called to do on earth.
Be encouraged, be steadfast and be still and know that He is God!
